Help fund cancer treatment for Linda Johnson

Hello, my name is Brandon Johnson. I am writing this to help raise funds for my Aunt Linda, who recently underwent major abdominal surgery.
Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with stage four cancer and will require chemotherapy in hopes to kill the aggressive cancers in her body.

Those who have had the opportunity to have met Linda know what joy she is to be around. Charismatic, caring and always putting the thoughts of others first.
People know her for her passion for cars, especially the Mini Cooper and as well has her knowledge in nutrition and supplements. She has made such a large impact on my life and countless others.

On October 17th around 9pm, Linda was taken to the ER at St. Lukes Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was suffering from swelling in her legs, major pressure in her abdomen and lower back pain. Oddly, her appetite was reduced even though she had gained some weight.
The next morning she was admitted to the hospital to run tests and to make her feel more comfortable. They discovered she was anemic and would need to raise her blood levels if surgery was an option. Also, an MRI was performed where they quickly discovered a large mass in her abdomen. The large mass had been placing pressure on her organs reducing normal function of her bladder, intestines, liver and spleen. On top of all this, numerous smaller tumors were discovered.

Back in 2010, Linda had a hysterectomy where they also performed an oophorectomy and removed an ovary. Three weeks later she had some pain in her abdomen where they discovered a mass on her remaining ovary. The mass was removed and tested to be non-cancerous. As a result, Linda was able to keep her ovary, avoiding the need for hormone replacement therapy. It appears that this ovary may have been the source of the large mass in her abdomen and the reason why her other organs also have tumors attached.

On October 20th at 6pm, after successfully raising her blood levels, Linda underwent major surgery by Dr. Drake, a Gynecologist Oncologist Surgeon. About an hour and a half later, Dr. Drake gave us the news. They were successful in removing the large mass, the size of small basketball, and drained approximately 5 liters of fluid. Unfortunately, the biopsy of the mass tested positive for cancer.

Moreover, all the remaining tumors could not be removed as they were attached to the liver and spleen. Removing them could cause more harm to Linda increasing the chance for the cancer to spread. Due to the nature of her numerous tumors she has stage four cancer.

Linda is now home in recovery from her surgical procedure and in good spirits. She is doing everything she can to rebuild her strength and to fight this disease. She has started walking around her home and her appetite is slowly improving. The 50 staples on her abdomen is a constant reminder of the major surgical procedure she just endured.

Unfortunately, Linda’s limited insurance coverage, future chemotherapy sessions and extended time away from
work will not cover all of her expenses.
Your donations to help fund Linda’s cancer treatment, whether big or small, will help her tremendously in giving her the care that she needs.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Your donation will give Linda a fighting chance to remove the cancers from her body, pay her bills and help restore her health back to normal. Linda, our family and I cannot thank you enough for your help.
