Help Helena Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

My name is Helena from McRae, Ga and Hurricane Helene threw a tree on my house causing $31k worth of damage. Yeah, I know… clearly she was jealous of my little holistic life and had to come ruin it.

On September 27, 2024, my town McRae, GA went through the biggest disaster this town has ever seen. We haven’t had a storm that bad in over 100 years from what the news said. This was my first hurricane ever.

Because my house was not in my name during the storm, FEMA cannot and will not fix it. They have taken me on the longest three-month ride on the “Gaslight.” I don’t know what else to do. I have spent everything on hotels and things I needed after the storm due to my home being moldy. I can't use any of my clothes there. But thanks to the TikTok shop, they send me clothing samples all the time, so I didn’t have to buy many clothes.

The struggle has definitely gotten real and all I want is to be back in the space of peace I created for myself. I have been trying to keep from asking for help, but I’m out of options at this point. The longer my house sits in this condition, the worse it’s getting. My home needs a new roof, complete demo and remodel, total rewire, and because of how heavy the tree was, my house is no longer leveled. It’s sitting on a slant ‍♀️.
