Many people know Helena, and all who do are aware of her generosity, her caring nature, and her wicked sense of humour.

Helena works tirelessly for our communities. She is a regular convention volunteer at Nine Worlds, EasterCons and WorldCons. As an example, she ran the Listening Team Glasgow 2024, providing important support to those who needed it.

She is a longstanding St John’s Ambulance volunteer, regularly working events such as the London Marathon, and she was awarded a Coronation Medal for her work supporting the late Queen’s funeral and the Coronation.

Helena has been the rock many of us needed in difficult times, and now she needs us.

Just before Christmas, John, her partner of over 20 years, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving her and their two boys. While essential processes are underway, she needs help making ends meet and in covering the cost of the funeral.

We cannot ease the emotional impact of John’s passing, but together we can all help to resolve her immediate financial uncertainty.
