Hi everyone, my name is Christie and I'm starting this fundraiser for my Aunt Helen.

Back in April, she had to have a knee replacement done, and it didn't heal up as we had hoped. Her knee bone is now exposed. She has had numerous debridings done and has had to have a wound vac put on to try and close up her knee. Just last week, they took skin from her thigh to do a skin graft. Unfortunately, that was unsuccessful and rotted before it could connect with her good skin.

She is currently in the hospital and will have another debriding done in the morning, and hopefully next week they will go in and take muscle from her calf to do what they call a flap, which is just a stronger skin graft. Hopefully, she will start to heal from there and will be transferred to a rehabilitation center to work on rebuilding her strength.
