Help Taste Food Truck Get Back on the Road

Hi, my name is Eleni (Helen), and many of you know me as the "Fave Red-Head Puddin' Lady." I'm reaching out to ask for your support during a challenging time.

I own Taste, a food truck in Baltimore, MD, where I specialize in Smash Burgers, Jerk Chicken Tacos, Banana Pudding, and other delicious offerings. On June 20, 2024, while starting the generator for an evening of service, I suffered a serious hand injury when the handle struck me, breaking a bone in my finger and tearing a tendon. The injury required emergency surgery and left me unable to work. Unfortunately, this meant closing the truck on June 21, 2024, and I've been unable to reopen since.

For those who don't know, l've been the primary operator of the truck, with only occasional help from other chefs when they could spare time.

With the truck closed and me unable to work, I've had no business income for months. Medical bills have piled up, and ongoing business expenses still need to be paid. My husband, a true blessing, who has been an incredible support, has been carrying the financial burden for our family alone.

I'm still in recovery, with limited movement in my fingers, and I'm hoping to begin physical therapy soon. While I remain uncertain of when I can fully reopen, l am eager to get back to doing what I love—serving up amazing food for all of vou.
