Help Helen Fonseca Recover from ICU, Rehab, & Return Home

Hi! We are the daughters of Helen Fonseca. While visiting her grandkids in Wisconsin, our mom suffered from COVID and subsequently became septic from an obstructing kidney stone landing her in the ICU with multi-system organ failure. Helen suffered from liver and kidney failure, Vtach & Afib RVR (deadly heart rhythms) requiring 5 shocks, and ARDs (lung disease) needing a week of intubation on a vent in ICU. This amazingly strong women beat all the odds and is starting her recovery process! We thank everyone that prayed for our mothers recovery because those prayers were answered. Helen is slowly regaining normal functions such as walking, caring and feeding herself, and processing language. Helen is requiring intense inpatient rehab to help her regain her independence. Unfortunately we are out of state and rehab is not cover here. We need help paying for her ICU and hospital stay along with the required rehab. Our hope is to get her strong enough to fly Helen home.
