Help Heights Vision Recover from Fire

On the morning of December 10, 2021 a four-alarm fire ravaged a building in Brooklyn, NY and destroyed the location of Heights Vision, a local optometry office. It was not owned by a large company; it was owned by Dr. Downy Nguyen, a mother who had a dream to open an optometry office to serve her neighbors here in Brooklyn and those less fortunate overseas through eyecare missions.

 

But that dream took a crushing blow that morning as the fire raged through a brownstone which led to losses in medical equipment, frames, and finances. There are still many unknowns but we are using this GoFundMe to help her business bounce back with some funding for transition costs for a pop-up location and to build back Heights Vision. We'd also like to provide for some Christmas needs for her employees that were impacted by all of this.

 

This has been emotionally devastating for Dr. Nguyen but she would like to extend her heartfelt thank you to all the patients, neighbors and friends who have reached out with support and prayers.
