My name is Heidy Labrada-Gomez, I am 31 years old, and this is our story of faith, resilience, and love. Eleven years ago, I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis, a condition that has significantly impacted my life. Despite the health challenges this presented, my husband and I were delighted when we found out we were expecting a baby girl. Our joy, however, turned into heartbreak when we lost our precious daughter at six months of pregnancy. The devastation was immense, but through this, our faith and the love we share kept us strong.

When we discovered we were expecting again, it was a mix of joy, apprehension, and a deepened reliance on God. As the pregnancy progressed, my health unfortunately worsened, necessitating my husband to leave his job to provide the care I needed.

Complications arose that required me to be transported from Fort Myers hospital to Miami, two and a half hours away from our home. This left us both unable to work, leading to a financial strain that continues to bear heavily on us.

Amidst these challenges, our baby boy arrived prematurely at just 24 weeks and 6 days, weighing only 1.05 pounds. His lungs were underdeveloped and he has a significant PDA in his heart, requiring life-saving surgery. He's been intubated since birth, with machines assisting his breathing.

Following the birth, my health declined. The Lupus flared up, leading to a series of health complications. I spent 50 days in the hospital before finally being discharged. However, my recovery journey continues with dialysis treatments every other day.

Despite these hardships, the love between my husband and me, our love for our baby boy and our faith in God keep us going. We've been together for 10 years, and through all our trials, our relationship with God has deepened, and we feel truly blessed despite the adversity we face.

Currently, we are living two and a half hours away from our home, with me still recovering and our baby boy in the NICU. We're sharing our story because we need help. Our bills are piling up, and with neither of us able to work, we're struggling to keep afloat.

Any help we receive will go towards our mounting medical bills, travel expenses for hospital visits, and the necessary care for our baby boy. We cannot express how much your support would mean to us during this challenging time.
