Help Victim of Domestic Violence and L.A. Fires
Donation protected
The worst fires in history continue to ravage Los Angeles. Several months ago, my entire family and our friends helped rescue and relocate a thirty-year-old victim of domestic violence to a new home in L.A. where she found safety for the first time in years. We raised funds to keep her safe in a new home and start a brand new life. Now, she has lost her home in the Eaton Fire in Los Angeles, where 14,000 acres burned and 17 people died. She is staying in a motel, and we need to help her start her life over again.
We need to raise approximately $27,000 to help get her back on her feet again. We are helping her apply for funds from F.E.M.A. Until then, our goal is to raise money to pay for her motel (she has no family nearby) and to help her find a new apartment (and the deposit for it) and all of the basics that were destroyed. Nobody deserves this much hardship. In the meantime, we've had a clothing drive for her and people are taking turns cooking for her. But if everybody who reads this can chip in $10, $25, $50, $100, $250 or more, we can get Heidy resettled. Thank you for taking the time to read Heidy's story and we hope that you will support her!
I'm Andrew Behrman and I'm a very close friend of Heidy. I live in Encino, California, and am spearheading this effort to help Heidy resettle and replace everything that was lost in the fire that destroyed her home.
