Help Heidi Ann Wiegand Battle Multiple Myeloma

My name is Heidi Dowden, I am asking for our family and friends to add my sister-in-law, Heidi Ann Wiegand, my brother Wally Wiegand’s beautiful wife, to your thoughts and prayers. Heidi Ann has ended 2023 with back surgery, shortly after, she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

Heidi started treatment and excited to start the stem cell harvest process. Unfortunately, the harvest had to be paused to white cell blood levels. The next day, Heidi was inpatient to Froedtert hospital, and we received another diagnosis, Plasma Cell Leukemia. Cancer is never a welcomed visitor, nor are the additional health concerns it brings along with it such as … elevated or low kidney and liver counts, and fungal pneumonia.

2024 has been challenging for Heidi Ann, my brother Wally, their girls Josie (Derek) and Tanya (Jason), and 3 grandchildren. The family has been rallying around Heidi Ann, praying for her recovery / remission, along with concerns about being able to afford the “normal” monthly household bills and mounting medical bills (after insurance). Heidi Ann and Wally have limited income, unfortunately, Heidi Ann has not been able to return to work and Wally is on disability due to back injury.

We are not a family who shares on social media or other platforms, health concerns / conditions, this has not been an easy decision for us …please keep Heidi Ann and our family in your prayers.
