On February 11, 2024, the world lost a powerful, creative light. Emily Hunt was a loving, passionate, talented artist, teacher & mother to so many. She left this world far too soon, and now her loved ones must carry on her legacy and pick up the pieces from her sudden departure.

Her spirit lives on in the person she cared for the most, her daughter Heddy. Having already lost her father Bruce in 2015, Heddy and her husband Walker are now grappling with the immeasurable task of grieving this massive loss and inheriting the Hunt family home.

As Heddy & Walker continue to make plans for a summer memorial honoring Emily, they have also taken on the momentous project of restoring the house that Hunt built. The timeless farmhouse was in desperate need of foundational repairs prior to Emily's passing, and they would love nothing more than to honor her memory by seeing this project through. They have been juggling all of this from several states away -- having to manage costs for two homes, travel between Virginia & New York, and pay for contractors and materials as issues arise.

This amount is only a small portion of what is needed, but would be a greatly appreciated by Heddy & Walker as they continue to process this immense loss and channel their love for their mom into a home they can one day raise their own family in. A portion of these funds will also be dedicated to hosting Emily's friends family at a beautiful memorial in the near future.
