A little over a week ago my dad was hospitalized with COVID 19. He had pneumonia and was placed on oxygen. He was placed in the ICU 2 days ago. We were told he was doing well then he suddenly took a turn for the worst. As early as yesterday, he seemed to be improving. Unfortunately, this morning he was intubated and placed on a ventilator. His oxygen levels have been up since being placed on the ventilator however, his dr is stating that his lungs are badly damaged. My dad is the perfect example of the seriousness of Covid and how it can affect anyone at any time. He is a 50 yr old man without any underlying health conditions. He has never smoked and doesn’t drink. He has a strong healthy heart, he is not a diabetic and certainly not obese. We are told that he has a very long recovery road ahead of him and all we can do for now is pray. We are praying for him to make a full recovery. We are unable to see him and the thought of someone so full of life and energy to now be surviving through a ventilator, all alone, is devastating. We are asking for donations to help with the exuberant costs of medical bills. Any little amount would be so greatly appreciated and one less thing for him to stress about when he does come out of this! Thank you all!
