Others grow into wonderfully different personalities while sharing the same beginning.

Hecate and Nyx came into our care together, and although they’ve each developed their own unique character, they’ve shared every important milestone along the way. From their first days of safety and regular meals to discovering toys, climbing cat trees, and learning to trust people, these two sisters have grown into beautiful young cats with bright futures ahead.

Hecate is thoughtful and observant, often taking a moment to watch the world before joining the fun. Nyx is equally captivating, bringing a playful curiosity that reminds us how joyful kittenhood can be. Together, they balance one another beautifully—not because they’re inseparable, but because every sibling brings out something special in the other.

Now they’re ready for the next chapter of their lives. Whether that chapter is written together or with two different families, our greatest hope is the same: that each of them finds a home where they’ll be cherished for the remarkable cats they’ve become.

Preparing two rescued kittens for adoption costs far more than most people realize. By the time Hecate and Nyx are ready for their forever homes, their care will include:

We’re asking the community to help raise $600 toward Hecate and Nyx’s care. While the total value of their care is higher, we’ll continue covering the remaining costs so both sisters receive everything they need to become healthy, fully vetted, and ready for adoption.

This fundraiser is part of the Mojave Cat Journal Kitten Launch Fund.

Community sponsorship helps cover the cost of rescue, medical care, and preparation before rescued kittens join their forever families. Every contribution helps ensure Hecate and Nyx receive the veterinary care, nutrition, and support they need to begin the next chapter of their lives.

Our goal is simple: every kitten should leave for their new home healthy, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered when appropriate, and with a great start in life. When a Launch Fund is fully supported, it gives us the flexibility to reduce or eliminate adoption costs and, whenever possible, send kittens home with starter supplies that may include food, litter, toys, and other essentials.
