Hello, my name’s Hebe and I’m continuing to raise money to buy and drive a 4x4 to Ukraine filled with aid in February, after joining my first convoy in September.

For many years now, I have volunteered with charities involved in supporting refugee crises around the world, taking me to Athens, Calais and continuing work in the UK. Now with your support, I plan to drive across Europe to Ukraine to deliver aid and 4x4s to our Ukrainian partners on the ground. The vehicles are used by first responders to evacuate civilians from active war zones and deliver medical supplies and aid to remote areas and communities across Ukraine.

I will be going with Convoy4Ukraine, a Cambridge based charity. They collaborate with Stockhouse 4x4s, based in Trim, Ireland. Between the two groups, they run 4 convoys per year, 2 from the UK and 2 from Ireland. Since the start, they have delivered over 100 vehicles, including multiple ambulances.

So far, Convoy4Ukraine has delivered up to 14 vehicles each time, all filled with aid to be delivered to our Ukrainian partners. Their needs have changed slowly over time, as the war has continued. We will fill the vehicles with requested items such as medical equipment/supplies, hygiene items and school items ie textbooks.

The 4x4s are the most valuable aid that’s delivered. As the vehicles are second hand and need a little love when first bought, we also buy equipment to help keep them on the road for as long as possible. Items like: rechargeable batteries, spare tyres and tools.

Once the 4x4s are handed over, they are driven to wherever they’re needed most. These vehicles are able to handle damaged roads and rough terrain, making them essential for saving lives in high risk areas of Ukraine.

By donating money to this cause, you are standing with me in the support of Ukrainian people that are fighting for their homes, country and freedom. Three years on, it’s important to continue to show up and help however we can.

The money you donate will go towards the cost of the 4x4, requested aid and other useful items previously mentioned. I will be covering my accommodation costs and flights home myself.
