Hello Everyone,

I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends Heba and Said. Their previous organizer was unfortunately unable to continue to assist in this. 

The funds will be used to evacuate Said, Heba, and their son Sami when the borders reopen and provide for their basic living expenses as the cost of displacement continue to rise and building their life after evacuation. 

Here is their story in their own words:

“I'm Saeed Hamdouna, 30 years old, working as a lawyer in the Palestinian bar association. My wife is Heba Baloni, 30 years old, who studied Business management.

Our love story which was two years of love and it was the best years in my life. Then we were engaged for one year and started to prepare for the wedding, the house, and all needs for couples life. Because of the low economy here in Gaza and the lower salary, we couldn't have a house else we sold the jewelry of my wife to have one. House where the safety, warmth and comforts exist.

After long time and huge effort with doctors and medicines to have a baby after waiting for more than two years. Thanks God we got Sami our beloved child. Sami made us over the moon and coloured our life with blue. Suddenly, in a night we found Sami is so hot and he needs to go to hospital. There we discovered that Sami has a illness that if his degree is more than 38c, he got seizures. So life was getting difficult because of that, you know Sami is all life.

With working together I and Heba finally our life started getting better. In the 7th Oct, everything got ruined by the IOF and we had to evacuate to our family in law house because of the tremendous danger in my house's area. We went there without taking anything besides some clothes for Sami. After 6 deadly days in Tal-El Hawa and being under bombshells and air strikes. Also, under pressure of IOF we had to go to Rafah without taking our needs or documents and hopefully we will get back soon! We stayed for a month in a friend's house then we had to move again because his relatives want to live there. So we ,my family and my family in law got disturbed on different areas.

After days without life needs (food, clean water, electricity, child needs, medicines) we were suffering and suddenly Sami got a seizure and we all got scared. My wife has a first responder degree but she couldn't do anything because of the terrifying situation. Thanks God my cousin was there. He is a doctor and rescued Sami. He had some medicines so he gave Sami some. Then we ran faster and faster in the streets without slippers or enough clothes to go to the hospital.

My family have evacuated to Egypt and my family in law will be evacuating when the border opens again. We will stay here without family, money or any help. I, Heba and my lovely pretty kid Sami deserve a better life! To live in safe and comforts! We need your help! Please help us to evacuate and to rebuild our lives.”
