Help Heaven Devoe Stay Enrolled at Howard

Hello. My name is Heaven Devoe, and I’m currently pursuing my degree at Howard University. I dream of becoming a Neonatologist. Unfortunately, my university enrollment is now in jeopardy due to serious financial constraints.

When I first started at Howard, my mom, who is a single mother, had support, but circumstances have changed. She is now on her own, without that extra financial support, and is solely responsible for all of our living expenses.

My mom works two jobs to support not only me and my education, but also my two younger siblings who are still at home. In addition to covering my college costs, she is also paying for my sister’s sports activities, tutoring, and the majority of our family’s medical needs, all out of pocket. We’ve taken out student loans to help ease the burden, but it’s still not enough.

Despite the financial stress, my mom and I are doing everything in our power to ensure that our circumstances do not define or limit our academic journeys. But the truth is, we need help. Your support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, can make a huge difference in helping me stay enrolled at Howard and continue working toward a future where I can give back and support others, just as we’re asking for support now.
