March 15th we came home to find that we had a sewage back up from the drain in the basement floor that ruined our entire basement. We've had to get rid of everything... so many of our clothes, 2 beds, 2 dressers, a couch, TV, entertainment stand, baseball back pack & gear, games, and so much more.

Thankfully the homeowners insurance is covering the cost of having a mitigation company come for removal and sanitizing of everything as well as the damage done to the flooring, walls, and anything structural. But unfortunately all of our personal belongings are a loss and are not covered. Our home situation is unique in that we have an agreement with my parents that we "own" the home and pay the monthly mortgage, taxes and for the insurance. But because we have not completed the process legally, insurance views us as renters and turns out we needed to have renters insurance in addition to the home owners insurance in order for our personal belongings to be covered

The last 12 months of life have been extremely challenging for our family. Many of you know my husband, Brett, had a mental health crisis in the fall that resulted in an inpatient stay at Rogers that resulted in him finally being properly diagnosed with bipolar 1, PTSD and depression. Following his stay in rogers he had several months of all day, intensive counseling/therapy. Then the motor in our van went, followed shortly after by the motor in our car. Now we're facing sewage back up and the loss of everything in the basement.

I feel so uncomfortable to ask for help in this way, but many have pushed me to start a go fund me so that those who were looking to help us start to rebuild could donate towards it. I am also attaching an amazon wish list of some of the things the kids lost in the basement for those who would rather purchase something.

Donations are so helpful, but more than anything, please keep our family in your prayers. I know God has big plans for our future and this is just another part of our testimony in the making.
