Help Heather Joy with a medical deductible!

Hi, I am Lisa Mares, and I am starting a fundraiser for Heather Joy. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 39. She set her medical deductible for $10,000 thinking at age 39, what could go wrong? It is her doctor's encouragement to get a double mastectomy and continue with chemo. Heather Joy is a single parent of two children ages 14 and 12. Heather Joy has been a close friend of mine since 2009. She lived within walking distance from me for years and we would spend time together sharing meals and playing board games. Heather Joy is a Licensed Therapist and Educator. She is a strong community advocate and enjoys helping others. It is our turn to help her. Please if you can, donate for her health and well-being. I have enjoyed a life-long career in serving others as an educator and mental health clinician. With undergraduate degrees in Psychology and French Literature from the University of Delaware, and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio, I specialize in helping families and individuals clarify their goals, increase awareness and improve the skills required to create the life they desire. I cherish working with children, teens, and parents to improve their relationships and find solutions for the conflicts that detract from the loving atmosphere that families long to experience at home.
