Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible Aunt Heather—a woman whose strength, resilience, and compassion have touched countless lives. Today, my family and I are coming together to ask for your help as she begins a new chapter after a long and difficult journey.

Five years ago, Heather began battling a life-altering clotting disorder. Despite undergoing numerous surgeries, enduring relentless pain, and facing each day with unimaginable determination, her condition continued to worsen. She worked tirelessly through it all, never allowing her suffering to interfere with her deep commitment to others. After exhausting every medical option, and under the guidance of a devoted team of doctors, she made the courageous decision to undergo a right leg amputation—a decision that no one should ever have to make.

Heather’s bravery in the face of adversity is nothing short of inspiring. She is not allowing this amputation to define her or stop her from living the full and vibrant life she deserves. Her strength is matched only by her heart.

Through every moment of this journey, Heather has had the unwavering support of her loving husband and their two wonderful children. Together, they have been her anchor—lifting her up through the hardest times, and giving her every reason to keep moving forward. Now, as they adapt to this new way of life, they face new challenges as a family, but also new hope.

For years, Heather served as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), caring for patients in facilities across the country. She has always given so much of herself—whether it was to a patient in need or a family member going through a hard time. Heather is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, no questions asked. Her warmth and generosity are what make her so beloved by everyone who has the privilege to know her.

Now, it’s our turn to give back to her.

We are raising funds to help support Heather through her recovery and the new challenges that come with adjusting to life after amputation. These funds will go toward:

• Prosthetic fitting and future replacements

• Ongoing physical therapy

• Accessibility modifications to her home

• Medical equipment and expenses not covered by insurance

• Transportation needs and general cost-of-living support during recovery
