In December of 2022, Heather’s mother, Edith, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. At the time of the diagnosis, Heather was living in Utah and would fly back and forth to Atlanta for her mother’s Doctor’s Appointments.

 

Heather was eventually able to transfer from Utah to work with the same company in Atlanta but used leave time to search for a place to live in Atlanta. Heather has worked through this entire ordeal but has now run out of leave time.

Until now, Ms. Edith has been staying with a relative as she battles cancer, as Heather has continued to work. However, in the last two weeks, Ms. Edith has been in and out of the Hospital, with multiple trips to the Emergency Room. For this reason, Heather has decided to take FMLV without pay so she can tend to her mother’s needs during this most difficult time.

 

Ms. Edith will be staying with Heather full-time now so Heather can be there for her and tend to all her needs. Heather will be doing this with no income.

 

We are asking that anyone with the ability and desire to help our dear friend Heather as she does the best she can do for her mother, during the hardest time of both their lives.
