Hi everyone, my name is Heather, and for the past year, I've been deeply struggling.

I'm a 26 year old trans woman who moved to Detroit last August in search of a fresh start. However, after suddenly being fired at the end of last year from the job I got when I moved here, things have just kept turning from bad to worse.

Since then, I've been struggling to find stable employment. The job market is in a deeply unforgiving state as of now, and despite my qualifications, it's felt nearly impossible to secure work anywhere. I'm applying for countless jobs, following up, even attending plenty of interviews. I'm doing everything I can to secure work, but the truth is that at this point I've been unemployed now for eight excruciating months.

I've been trying my best to make some money on the side by selling off my possessions, but it's just not cutting it. There've been numerous setbacks that have just kept pushing me down further, and the immense financial strain from each setback is horrifically overwhelming. It's reached a tipping point where I'm more desperate than ever. I'm losing sleep over it. I wouldn't be making this GoFundMe if it weren't serious.

At this point, it feels like I am barely surviving. I don't have any family to fall back onto, and every day I am deathly afraid of losing my housing and becoming homeless.

So, I'm asking you for your help. First and foremost, I need to make my rent this month. But on top of that, there are several other pressing issues that I need your help with. Including but not limited to:
