Over the past few weeks, my life was turned completely upside down. I experienced a severe mental health crisis that landed me in the hospital, and while I am grateful to be safe and receiving ongoing care, this has left me facing an overwhelming financial emergency. As I focus on stabilizing and healing, I simply haven’t been able to keep up with my essential bills. A mental crisis is the kind of moment no one prepares for, and asking for help is incredibly hard, but right now, it’s my only path forward.
Without immediate assistance, I’m at very real risk of losing my home. That fear isn’t just about me; it also includes my two cats, Starling and Juno, who are my closest companions and emotional support through everything I’m navigating. They’ve been with me through some of my darkest moments, and the thought of losing the safe space we share, or being forced to surrender them, is devastating. Keeping a stable home is a critical part of my recovery, and it’s the only way I can continue healing while caring for them.
Your support, whether through donating or sharing, would mean more than words can express. Every contribution goes directly toward rent, utilities, and essential living costs so I can stay housed while I continue treatment and work to get back on my feet. This is a moment where community can truly change a life, and I am humbly grateful for any help you are able to give. Thank you for giving me and my little fur-family a fighting chance to stay safe, stable, and moving forward.
With love and hope,
Heather, Starling, and Juno
