Last night, our lives changed in an instant. My son, my mother, and I lost our home to an electrical fire. Everything happened so fast, and although we are incredibly thankful to have made it out safely, our home and most of our belongings were either destroyed or severely damaged.

The house now has to be completely gutted and remodeled. Our clothes, shoes, furniture, personal items, and everyday essentials are gone. We are truly starting over from zero.

As a mother, watching my 15-year-old son go through this has been heartbreaking. No child should have to experience losing their home and the place where they felt safe. Right now, we are trying to stay strong for each other while figuring out the next steps to rebuild our lives.

We are asking for help to assist with:

    •    Temporary housing

    •    Clothing and basic necessities

    •    Food and daily expenses

    •    Cleanup and rebuilding costs

    •    Replacing essential household items
