Dear Lord,
We lift Heather up to YOU and ask for Your healing, comfort, and strength. Please ease her pain, restore her body, and bring her peace during this difficult time. Surround her with love, support, and hope. We trust in Your goodness and in the power of prayer.
Amen.
Hello friends and family,
First of all, with a gratitude heart, Thank you for all those who have donated and reached out to check in on my sister. It means the world to us and you are not being unnoticed for your generosity, prayers, and support. My family is sending all the love we can.
As many of you know, my sister has been going through a really tough time medically. She had cervical spine surgery on May 8th, 2025, and her recovery has been far from easy. She’s been pushing through daily pain, stiffness, dizziness, and a return of severe sciatic nerve issues that are affecting both legs now. This isn’t just typical soreness — this pain has been debilitating. She’s had episodes so intense that she couldn’t walk, and even now can barely sleep due to the discomfort. The doctor has prescribed her pain medication for every 4 hours to get her through until her next appointment on July 7th, however she’s trying everything to not take them.
To make things more overwhelming, she’s been sick for over two weeks (June 10th) starting with vomiting, now dealing with ongoing diarrhea, weakness, and fatigue. Despite doing everything she’s supposed to do like walking short/long distances, icing, taking medication as directed her body feels like it's failing. My sister is trying to stay strong, but some days she just feels broken. Her doctors are evaluating whether she needs further testing for possible surgery, extended time off before she can safely return to work. Heather’s already been out of work for over 6 weeks, and now facing the possibility of staying out longer. Heather’s full time job wants her in the office 40 hours a week and right now she’s unable to drive due to the pain medication and her part time job requires heavy lifting (like 5-gallon water jugs), plus driving residents and cleaning duties and right now she can barely cook or do light house work.
Why are we Asking for Help?
The financial burden is starting to weigh heavily on my family. Between medical bills, transportation to appointments Heather has to take pain medication to walk, medication costs, and everyday expenses things are adding up fast.
My sister has always been independent, always worked 2 full time jobs for her kids to have a successful life, strong-willed, and kept pushing through, but right now, my family truly needs help to stay afloat while my sister heals.
If you’re able to donate any amount even $1 it would mean the world to me and my family. If I got 1000 people to donate 5$ she would have 5,000$. If you can’t give financially, please consider sharing her story and saying a prayer. I believe in the power of prayer, community, and your support is what’s keeping my family going during this storm. Thank you so much for reading, praying, donating, or just being here for my family. It means more than you’ll ever know.
With lots of love and gratitude,
Heather’s sister Nicole (Nikkie)
