Help Heather Marulli Recover From Hit and Run

Donation protected
On the evening of March 6, 2024, my sister, Heather Marulli, was hit by a car while she was lawfully walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Sunset and Vine in Los Angeles. The driver of the car that struck her with callous indifference did not bother to stop.

Heather was thrown to the ground and suffered multiple injuries. The LAPD is investigating this incident as a felony hit-and-run collision. Luckily, a few bystanders were able to get her to safety from the middle of the street. An ambulance was called and she was rushed to the hospital. Heather suffered from two devastating orthopedic injuries - the top part of her humerus was fully fractured and her rotator cuff was partially torn; her right knee was also dislocated and one of her knee ligaments was damaged.

Heather underwent an emergency surgery to repair her shoulder, and in the near future she will have to undergo an MFPL reconstructive surgery to repair her knee. Very luckily, Heather will make a full recovery, but it will take some time to do so.

This was a traumatic accident that came at a joyous time in Heather's life when she had just completed a round of comedy shows in Portland. Heather wants to get well as soon as possible to return to her love of performing. Heather is a fully independent person who works full time to support herself and live in Los Angeles for her career. However, for the time being, Heather will not be able to work full time for a few weeks.

We're raising funds for Heather so she can heal without worry, pay her bills, and cover these unexpected medical costs, physical therapy, medical copays, the cost of being unable to drive for several weeks, and more.

Heather also needs to purchase home medical supplies for her recovery. Her medical bills are already in excess of $100K due to the surgery. Heather and I did not grow up with any wealth and just like the majority of Americans, an unexpected medical expense is financially devastating. I just want to ensure that she is able to bridge the gap from this terrible accident to her full recovery.

My sister is a very hard-working, kind, and thoughtful woman who deserves help. Most of all, Heather did not deserve to get hit by a car and left for dead in the street. She's my best friend and I hate to see her suffer like this. My sister and myself thank you all ahead of time for your support!
