Hi, my name is Heather. I’m a domestic violence survivor who has been rebuilding my life and working to share my story so other survivors know they’re not alone and that healing is possible.

Over the past year I took a leap of faith and started working with a publisher to bring my book to life — a book I hope will offer hope, strength, and encouragement to anyone living through or recovering from abuse. But the process has cost far more than I expected, and paying toward it while trying to keep up with rent, food, and bills has left me in a really hard financial place.

I’ve been searching for work and doing everything I can to stay afloat, but I’m falling behind. Asking for help is incredibly hard for me, but right now I can’t keep up on my own.

Funds raised here will go directly toward keeping me and my family safe and housed, catching up on essentials, and continuing the process of getting this book finished so I can use my experience to encourage and help other survivors find their way out of the darkness.
