On Thursday, September 25th, Heather and her partner Jan were in a terrible accident. Both of them were victims of a propane explosion at their temporary residence whilst trying to care for Heather's terminally ill mother and rebuild after experiencing financial difficulty. They both were sent to Cobb Wellstar Hospital where they are currently recovering from their injuries.

Involved in the accident were their 6 pets (Mac, Dennis, Frankie, Pondy, Charlie, and Pepe Silvia), who all suffered burns to various degrees. Luckily everyone made it out alive but Mac and Dennis have lost significant portions of their ears and Charlie is temporarily unable to walk after being trapped for several days after the initial fire.

On top of everything that has happened, all of their personal items are gone including clothing, a work laptop, personal health assistant devices, phone chargers and shoes. It seems it is going to be a long recovery as Heather and Jan have already had multiple surgeries and will need ongoing care and physical therapy after they're discharged from the hospital in the coming days.

This fund is intended to help Heather with medical expenses for both her and her animals, housing, and for the replacement of the personal items lost in the explosion.
