Help Heather and Her Family Rebuild After the Palisades Fire

Hi, our names are Victoria and Lee from Highland Park, CA, and we’re setting up this GoFundMe for our dear friend Heather and her family, who have been displaced due to the devastating Palisades fire.

Heather is a lifelong resident of the Pacific Palisades. She grew up there, built her career there, and raised her daughter there as a single mom. The Palisades has always been home, but now she finds herself heartbroken and devastated—her beloved town, the memories she’s made, and the life she’s built have been forever changed by this tragedy.

Here’s a little more about Heather and her family:

Heather is an incredibly talented hair stylist who has been helping others look and feel their best for years.
She has a 21-year-old daughter, Jonny, who is currently in college.
Heather has a 10-year-old service dog with a brain tumor and recently rescued a 2-year-old feral dog from the Mayan jungle.

While Heather’s home miraculously survived the fire, it is uninhabitable due to severe contamination from toxic smoke and soot. Both her home and her business are located in the burn zone, leaving her unable to work or return home anytime soon.

This disaster couldn’t have come at a worse time. Heather was just getting her business back on its feet after a debilitating car accident and had recently rented a new space in the Palisades to expand her work. Tragically, that space has also been compromised, leaving her with nowhere to continue her livelihood.

Heather has been our hair stylist for eight years, and we can personally vouch for her immense talent and her deep compassion for others. She has an incredible ability to make people feel beautiful, even when they can’t see it themselves. Now, Heather needs our help to take care of her own family.

She has already exhausted her savings on temporary housing, as the demand for subsidized hotels and Airbnbs far exceeds the supply. On top of that, the stress of this ordeal has taken a toll on her health—she is currently battling Influenza A and unable to work or advocate for herself.

Heather and her family need immediate support to cover housing, basic necessities, and medical expenses for both her and her dogs. Any amount you can give will help Heather get back on her feet and begin rebuilding her life.
