Our sister, Heather, is the victim of a violent crime that has completely turned her life upside down. In a single moment, her world changed — leaving her with devastating injuries, the loss of her leg, and an uncertain road ahead.

Heather is a fighter. She has already endured eight surgeries and is going into her 9th this Friday, with at least one more still ahead. She remains hopeful to move into rehab soon, but the mounting medical costs, ongoing treatments, and the need to adapt her home to be handicap accessible are overwhelming.

Heather is also a mother of three amazing kids who now face the difficult reality of adjusting to a new way of life. The battles ahead are not just hers — they are theirs too. Together, they will need strength, stability, and support from a community that cares.

Anyone who knows Heather knows her spirit: she’s always been the one to do things herself. From working tirelessly to make her home beautiful to never asking others for help, she has always carried her own weight. But now, for the first time, she can’t do it alone. She even deeply misses her beloved dog, a reminder of the simple joys she longs to return to.
