Heather and I met through her work as a Vet Tech, when she provided a safe place for my future dog, Owen, to heal. Our friendship grew from that moment, and I’ve seen firsthand the kindness and compassion she brings to everyone she meets. Heather is a devoted mother raising two children, one of whom needs specialized care to thrive. Recently, her son was accepted into a school that can provide the education and support he needs, but this opportunity comes with significant financial challenges.

Heather’s husband was a pilot who lost his job during the government shutdown. Even after the government reopened, jobs in his field did not return, and the family has continued to feel the impact.
