Help Heather, Jeff & Isaiah After Apartment Fire

Donation protected
Crisis hit our family this week when my granddaughter Heather’s apartment house caught fire. Her fiancé Jeff had already left for his shift at his new job at a local restaurant, and Heather was home with their beautiful one-year-old son, Isaiah. We are so grateful that Heather, Isaiah, and all of the other house residents escaped safely. The fire started directly below Heather and Jeff’s rooms and spread quickly through the entire lower level of the house. While they didn’t lose any personal belongings to the fire, it’s possible the smoke damage may be irreversible. Most devastating is that they are suddenly faced with finding a place to live with no notice.

Heather is in her first semester at Spokane Community College and Jeff has been at his new job for only two months, so they haven’t had time to accumulate savings equal to first and last month’s rent, deposit, and related moving expenses like trucks, trailers, and gas. Life has been slowly improving for Heather and Jeff over the past year, with the arrival of Isaiah, Heather starting college, and Jeff’s great new job. They definitely had finding a bigger, better apartment on their radar, but not yet—and certainly not like this.

If you are able to help, thank you so much in advance. If financial help isn’t possible, please leave a kind thought or an encouraging word as this is an extremely stressful time. Many thanks to all, from our family to yours.
