Heather is my dear friend and a single mom of four sons. Over the past two years, she has bravely battled cancer, facing countless challenges along the way. Despite her own struggles, Heather has always opened her heart and home to rescue dogs, showing compassion and kindness to those in need. Recently, she’s been hit with even more hardship. Her car broke down, and the money I loaned her to help is now being counted as income by the government, which means her benefits will be reduced. On top of that, Heather has discovered a lump on her neck, and her oncologist is sending her for a PET scan. The uncertainty and worry are overwhelming, especially as she tries to stay strong for her sons.

Heather’s son has a birthday coming up, but with her finances stretched thin, she has no way to celebrate. The funds raised here will help Heather cover rent, make her son’s birthday special, and pay for gas and food—essentials that will ease her stress during this difficult time. Heather is a selfless person who loves her children and loves life. She’s always put others first, and now she deserves a break in life.
