Heather is my sister, and she has faced an unimaginable series of challenges in a very short time. Just recently, Heather lost her husband, leaving her and her three sons to navigate life without him. As if that loss wasn’t enough, only a week later, Heather discovered that their home had a serious mold problem, making it unsafe for her family to stay. With little time to prepare, she and two of her boys had to move out, leaving behind most of their belongings and the place they called home.
Heather has since found a new place to live, but the transition has been incredibly difficult. The family is now facing the burden of hospital bills from her husband’s illness, and they are struggling to make ends meet. On top of that, Heather’s car is in need of major repairs—it has no heat and the brakes need work. Her youngest son, who just turned 16, was hoping to have a second car so he could drive himself to school and wrestling practice, but that dream feels out of reach right now.
I am starting this fundraiser to help Heather and her boys replace what they’ve lost, pay off medical bills, and get reliable transportation. Your support will give them a chance to rebuild and find hope again. Thank you for your kindness and support. It will mean so much to Heather and her boys in their time of loss to know that they have a community that cares for them.
