I don’t usually do these things, but after hearing what my friend Heather is going through, I felt an overwhelming feeling that I needed to help and get involved.
I met Heather about 7 years ago when she was going through breast cancer treatment. Sometime after finishing her treatment, Heather, a single gal, became a foster Mom, and ultimately adopted 3 of her foster children.
She has struggled with her surgical scars, healing, and getting infected. She has had to go back to surgery many times since her cancer surgery. The most recent surgery was a few months ago, and she has struggled to heal. She now is hospitalized with Sepsis. And it’s getting worse instead of better.
She has been very worried about healing so she can care for her sweet family. And then to make the situation so much worse- she was let go from her job- even after a recent evaluation that went very well. Can they even do that???
She is worried about her future, she is worried about getting another job as soon as she can, and of course she is worried about being able to pay her bills with no income. All while she is fighting this horrible infection, and is in the hospital. She is struggling to stay hopeful, and not sure if she can hang on. It breaks my heart to even share this.
Heather never asks for help. All she has asked for is prayer. I think God is answering her prayer, by asking us to come together to help her financially so that she can focus on getting better and return to caring for her children. And when able, seek new employment.
If you can spare anything, please consider donating.
Thank you!
