My name is Heather and I am starting a fundraiser to help with funds to get to Dallas for a surgery that I need that will ultimately save my life.

I was assaulted in 2023, and a lot of damage was done to some private areas of my body. As a result of this, I have endured multiple bladder infections that have traveled up to my kidneys.

This has caused severe pain, swelling of my left kidney, and now a blood clot in the left ureter between my kidney and my bladder.

I have been hospitalized 9 times in the last 18 months, and because of this, I have been unable to go back to work. It has cost me relationships and friendships. I am currently on my 10th admission and will be in for 2 weeks. My insurance has blocked a hospital-to-hospital transfer even though my medical team has deemed it NECESSARY for my survival. Today (5/8/25), they brought in palliative care.

My medical team in Abilene has figured out the issue and come up with a solution that can ultimately save my life—however, getting there seems to be the hardest part of the battle to date.

I am trying to raise enough money to cover gas, hotel, and food, along with the copay for the specialist. Any funds raised beyond that will go toward bills and helping care for my children until I am able to go back to work.

Anything you are willing and able to donate is so greatly appreciated. I want nothing more than to be around to watch my children grow up and have babies of their own.
