Help Heather Fight for Her Health, Independence & Life

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my dearest friend, Heather, who has been battling a life-altering health crisis for over two years.

In June 2023, while visiting Washington to celebrate her niece’s wedding, Heather became severely ill. What started as a few days of constant vomiting and inability to keep anything down quickly escalated into something terrifying. She lost control of her balance and vision, and when it came time to return home to Denver, she was too weak to stand on her own. Her condition was deteriorating so rapidly that our family had no choice but to rush her to the emergency room.

She was hospitalized for a week, diagnosed with kidney failure due to severe dehydration. Though she was eventually released and able to return home, this was just the beginning of a long and painful journey.

Since then, Heather has continued to suffer from kidney issues and now liver failure. She has undergone three surgeries, all unsuccessful, and is now preparing for a fourth. The physical and emotional toll has been immense—and the financial burden even greater.

In 2024, Heather was forced to stop working, something that was devastating for someone who’s worked her entire adult life. Losing her health and independence has been incredibly hard. She’s always been proud, strong, and private—never one to ask for help—but the situation has become more than she can manage alone.

She has kept her illness mostly private, not wanting sympathy or attention. But the truth is, she needs help. Her living expenses, ongoing medical costs, and inability to work have made things unsustainable. If it weren’t for her incredible mother stepping in, Heather would have lost her home long ago.

Now, we’re humbly asking for support—whether through a donation or simply keeping Heather in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit truly makes a difference.

Heather’s greatest wish is to get through this, return to work, and regain her independence. She’s still standing and fighting with everything she has, holding tightly to her faith and hope.
