My name is Heather Curry and I am 45 years old. Back in July of 2023, I had an ischemic stroke in the middle of my ponds with threads connected to my cerebellum. I am afraid and I need help. I have been put off work and am not able to drive. I was a caretaker for 30 years but had to retire because I can no longer hold that position due to my stroke. My coordination and balance have been affected to the point where I fall between 10-30 times a day.

I bought my house outright in June of 2022 for $60,000. I have back property taxes of a little over $1,800. On April 16th, 2025, they will put my house up for auction. They have offered no payment plans and refuse to work with me. I have reached out to every assistance center that I know of. A good portion of them are out of funding and the ones that do have funding are unable to help anyone who owns their own home. My utilities are also behind and we are only surviving by the grace of God at this point. I am head of household - my disabled son and two adopted siblings reside with me.

I'm hoping and praying with my transparency and openness that anyone and everyone who reads this understands that this plea is very genuine and very real. If we do not find help as soon as possible, we will lose everything! We have nowhere to go. If anybody out there could please help by either pointing us in the right direction, offering a prayer, good vibes, a box of food, or cleaning supplies, I will gladly take any of the above because it is all needed. I am currently working with Mountain State Justice to try and redeem my home.
