Help Heather Cundiff's Healing Journey

Hi everyone! My mom Heather Cundiff has spent the past week in the hospital, she has had a biopsy, an echo, fluid drained, and many other tests. From these tests the doctors found 3 issues. Blood clots in her lungs, a “floppy” mitral valve, and possible ovarian cancer. Since the tests on the fluid came back negative for cancer outside of her ovaries they can focus on her heart first. She just got sent home Thursday on loads of medicine, and a heart monitor. They put her on treatment to get rid of the blood clots in her lungs, and until those are proven to have worked they cannot operate. Until then she is on a no sodium diet and cannot work. She will meet with 2 cardiac teams, the open heart team, and the team that would go through her groin to fix it. If both teams agree open heart is the best route, it’s a 5-8 week recovery time while no work still. After she recovers from that, then the obgyn team will then meet and discuss their plan for that part. This will be a very long process with multiple trips to Columbus to see her specialized doctors. The cost of everyday bills and living can be covered, however the medical bills are piling up and we would like to get a head start on those.
