Help Heather and Her Children Through This Fight for Time

Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters!!

My name is Katie Williams, and I am Heather's best friend of 11 years. I am reaching out now to let all of you know of the immediate need for support for the most strong and beautiful (inside and out) woman I know.

Heather is a single mother of two amazing children, Nya (19) and Anthony (12). She has conquered THREE battles with cancer: Thyroid (10 years ago), Breast (7 years ago), and Uterine (5 years ago). Through ALL of this, she powered through and accomplished becoming a BSN, RN in 2017. She has worked in the ICU her entire career, in the profession she was most assuredly MADE FOR.

Heather has always been selfless and giving to ANY and EVERYONE, regardless of what she was going through herself. What she has been through, I can't and won't be able to put into words.

On 2/27, she called on FaceTime and told me she was at work but had Bell's Palsy, so they sent her to the Emergency Department.

What unfolded next was a nightmare. They did a CT of her head and found 2 masses... and then the spine... more lesions. The abdominal and chest scans came back. It is in her sternum, lungs, liver, and hip.

This time, there will be no operations. She wants and needs to make her time last as long as possible with the ones she loves.

She will start mapping and radiation for the masses in her head this week. There is also a biopsy on her hip planned for Monday.

Her plan after radiation is to go home (where she is from) to Massachusetts and continue to receive treatment at Dana Farber Brigham and Women's Hospital.

I am hoping that people will find it in their hearts to give to a woman that has given so much of herself to others.

All donations will be used for medical expenses, her move back home, and her children's future.

Whatever time we have left with her, we want to make it without pain and constant worry about the future. We want to live in the NOW, and make that time last as long as it possibly can.

Our faith is in GOD, that He will make that happen. HE is the GREATEST physician!!
