Heather and Brandon Womack are a beautiful couple that lives in Winnfield, LA. Heather is originally from Olla, LA. They have a precious two-year-old, Lillian! They are expecting a new baby girl! Heather is 24 weeks pregnant with no prior complications, and her water suddenly
broke on Saturday, August 30th. At this time, she is having no contractions and replenishing fluid. Heather will continue to stay in the hospital until the baby girl arrives, which could be a duration period of around 10-12 weeks, possibly longer if the baby girl is placed in NICU. Heather is a nurse at Winn Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Brandon works at Winn Correctional.
Heather did have a short disability policy but wasn’t going to take effect until October. Her situation is now considered pre-existing circumstances, which will allow her to only receive 7 days of paid time off. Her job also doesn’t provide maternity leave. Brandon’s hours will be drastically decreased because he’s taking a temporary position at the prison that will allow him to stay on compound just in case of any changes or if Heather goes into labor. So he will not be getting the hours that he was getting before working his transportation position. We as a family are asking for any help and prayers from our friends, family, and community to find it in your heart to possibly help this family in their most trying time. Most of all, please keep this family in your prayers as it is very difficult for Heather to process everything and to be away from Lillian. If you know Heather, you know Lillian is attached to her hip and a momma's girl.
Heather is currently at Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Labor & Delivery.
