Help Heath and Lilly Stay by Adleigh's Side
Donation protected
Lilly (Riddick) Layden is my first cousin. She and her husband, Heath, were married in January 2024. We were all so excited to learn they would be welcoming a baby in January of 2025! Much to Heath and Lilly's surprise, they were expecting identical twin girls. Very early on, the pregnancy was deemed high risk. Lilly was admitted to UNC-Chapel Hill Women's Hospital in early October. On October 24, 2024, at just 28 weeks gestation, Lilly gave birth to two precious baby girls, Adleigh Grace and Evelyn Hope. The girls' middle names came from Lilly's grandmothers, Agnes Grace Johnson and Hope Riddick. Heath and Lilly were able to visit their baby girls in the NICU and shower them with the love and joy all parents experience when they hold their baby for the first time. The next day, on October 24, 2024, they said goodbye to their sweet Evelyn Hope. She entered heaven, and we know we will see her again.
Adleigh is still in the hospital at UNC-CH. This is over three hours away from Heath and Lilly's home. Adleigh is expected to be in the hospital through her due date in January. There are tremendous expenses involved in this type of long-distance, long-term hospital stay, especially for very hardworking newlyweds!
I have started this GoFundMe for Heath and Lilly for those of us who are far away. I know so many want to express their love and support for them in a tangible way.
Please consider helping this strong young couple in the next few months as they stay by sweet Adleigh's side, giving her the touch that only a parent can.
Thank you.
