A Humanitarian Plea from the Heart of Tragedy

On the night of January 15th, 2024, exactly at midnight, my entire life changed forever.

That night, the apartment we had taken shelter in — with my parents, siblings, their wives and children, my own wife and children — was brutally bombed. We were all gathered in one place, trying to survive. But death struck faster.

The building was completely destroyed. My entire family was martyred:
My parents, my brothers, their wives, and their children — 15 beloved souls — were all taken from me.

I was left alone, digging through the rubble with my bare hands, screaming each of their names in desperation, hoping someone would answer…
But no one did. Only silence.

By a miracle, my wife and children and I survived, but survival came with unimaginable wounds — both physical and emotional.
After hours trapped under the rubble, they were finally rescued.

At that moment, I didn’t know whether to break down in grief for those I lost or stay strong for those who remained.
By God’s grace, I found strength. We were rushed to the hospital.

And there, a new chapter of pain began:
• My wife suffered a fractured leg and needed a metal implant in her thigh.
• But the most devastating injury was to my youngest son, Yamen, who is not yet 12 years old.
He lost his left leg below the knee and the toes of his right foot.

Just two days after his surgery, Al-Shifa Hospital was evacuated, and we were forced to leave without completing his treatment.
From then on, we began caring for him at home — with almost no medical supplies, no painkillers, no anesthesia for dressing changes…

Can you imagine this pain?
A child who lost his leg… crying day and night because there’s no way to relieve his agony.

Today, despite surviving, my son still desperately needs medical care and, most urgently, a prosthetic leg so he can walk again and regain a small part of his stolen childhood.

That is why I turn to you — with a broken heart and a father’s plea — asking for your support.
Please help me provide my son with the care he needs. Every donation, no matter how small, can bring him closer to healing.

Let Yamen know he is not alone. Let him know humanity still exists.

May God reward you and lift the hardship from your lives, as you help lift it from ours.
