My name is Sharon Potts, and I really appreciate you taking a moment to hear my story. In April, I was blindsided by a debilitating diagnosis of multiple serious heart ailments, including plural effusion pneumonia, congestive heart failure, angina, fast abnormal heart rhythm, weakened heart, and leaky valves.

I can't afford medical insurance with my current employer, so I'm applying for all financial aid available to me to cover hospital and doctor bills. However, I'm only 58 and will likely have ongoing expenses for these conditions for the rest of my life. I'm asking for donations from anyone who feels moved and able to help, which will go toward my two most urgent needs: coverage of medicines (which are currently $1,200 monthly) and follow-up appointments to monitor and treat these issues.
