Please help Family Dog Rescue heal precious Penny!
This little angel was surrendered to Family Dog Rescue by an owner who had neglected and was unwilling to care for her. When Penny arrived at our shelter, she was terrified and suffering with severe infections, dental disease, and horribly matted fur. Thanks to the loving efforts of Family Dog Rescue, Penny received the care she so desperately needed and deserved. But her road to recovery was long. She had ten teeth extracted, was treated with medicines and ointments, and continues to receive medicated baths.
Thankfully, Penny is doing much better now! She's found a loving foster dad, who takes her to the park and beach, and she's ready to find her forever home. She loves the wind in her face and the grass and sand under her paws. And while she's still a bit shy, she makes friends easily -- with people and pets alike. Here's beautiful Penny now, so happy on her way to the beach!
Ms. Penny has certainly come a long way since we welcomed her into our shelter. But her medical bills have reached $1,250.
