Our names are Michelle and Israel Menezes, and we live in Oakland, California. We are the proud parents of twin baby girls who just turned 1 year old on 09/02. What should have been a joyful and carefree first year has been filled with pain and endless struggles for them. Since they were only 2 months old, they have battled severe eczema.

Every day has been a cycle of hope and heartbreak. Some days their faces look like they’re finally starting to clear, only for red, raw patches to suddenly appear again. The itching never stops — even when their skin looks like it’s healing, the itch drives them to scratch until their little legs are torn up and bleeding. As parents, it’s devastating to watch our babies suffer like this and feel powerless to help them.
