If you know Ava’s Animals on TikTok, you know the Handsome Heroic Tucker!!! The Greatest of Pyrenees needs our help!!
TLDR; Tucker needs Emergency Hip Surgery
Tucker went missing Friday morning and re-emerged collapsed in front of the barn Saturday afternoon. He could barely walk, his gums were pale, and he had dried blood across his face from a gash on the back of his head — Tuk appears to have been hit by a car. We immediately rushed him to the emergency vet. The Animal Emergency and Referral Center operated by Mississippi State University in Flowood confirmed he has an “Acetabular Fracture” of the hip and internal abdominal bleeding.
Tucker’s stabilization process is going well. His organs appear intact when scanned on x-ray and ultrasound, giving us great hope for his survival. His blood work improved greatly from Saturday to Sunday, indicating his internal bleeding has subsided. Tucker will need emergency surgery on his hip within the week for his best hope at recovering mobility.
With remarkable love and kindness my mother-in-law called in to cover Tucker’s initial emergency vet stabilization cost as I reached for the card to the Ava’s Animals account.
Tucker still needs a CT scan to better prep for surgery and the actual operation and pain management is estimated to be substantial, even without covering physical therapy, but Tucker says he would rather have turkey and pumpkin pie anyway!
By helping us afford Tucker’s emergency hip surgery, you are also helping Tucker protect our fur and feathered babies on the farm as he gets to return to doing what he loves, being what he is bred to be, a livestock guardian dog. In helping with the high cost of his recovery you will also help us return to spoiling all dem babies the way they deserve!
Thank you for helping me feed the animals in 2025 and thank you for your love support and prayers now more than ever!!!
With all our hearts,
Ava & Our Ava’s Animals Farm Family
Thanks you
