Help heal Kyle's heart

Kyle and my son Miles became friends in their middle and high school years. Shortly after graduating high school, Kyle entered a turbulent young adult-hood and was subsequently shunned by much of his immediate biological family. So we invited him to be a part of our clan, and I am proud to call him my Godson.

It has been incredible to watch Kyle battle adversity head-on and develop a new, chosen family. He graduated from the University of Wyoming, has established a career as a credit analyst in Denver, and demonstrates that he can find light in even the darkest places.  

We were shocked when Kyle entered the ICU with a golf ball-sized clot in his heart. Over the past couple of weeks, we have learned that Kyle, like his identical twin, has left ventricular heart failure. In addition to this, Kyle’s heart sent embolisms throughout his body. While the prognosis is still unclear, Kyle has returned home after over a week in the ICU and is working with outpatient doctors to work on treatment through medications. We are hopeful that medications can stabilize Kyle’s heart, and he will function as normally as possible. 

Please contribute financial support to aid Kyle in funding his out-of-pocket medical costs. This will ease some of his financial burden and stress while he begins to find a new normal with his heart failure diagnosis. Funds will go directly towards medical costs and support for his recovery.
