Please consider donating to this fund to help my brother, Vladimir and his wife, Becky, with the medical expenses building up for the care of their oldest son, Joshua. Joshua is an amazing 1st grade student that loves to play baseball and loves alligators. He was diagnosed with a juvenile pilocystic acrocytoma on September 1, 2020. He is the third of their four children. My brother is a priest and my sister-in-law is a nurse. They appreciate anything you can give if you feel you can. Otherwise, they would appreciate all the prayers you can send up to our Heavenly Father, and healer.
Joshua’s mother, Becky wrote this on Facebook on September 1, 2020: In the month of June 2020 we started noticing that Joshua had a right sided limp when he walked. Then, as I further started to observe him, I noticed he also had right arm weakness similar to a hemiplegic. Our primary care physician ordered x-rays on his right leg and everything was normal. Then, we were directed to a pediatric orthopedic surgeon in Indy who completed reflex assessments and came to the conclusion that he needed an MRI to visualize his brain and cervical spine. We finally had our MRI today which revealed a brain tumor. The pediatrician immediately made phone calls to a neurologist and the physician cleared his afternoon to speak with us. The neurosurgeon feels that Joshua has a Stage 1 to Stage 2 Juvenile Pilocytic Acrocytoma. If this is the case, it’s a benign tumor. However, the surgeon was very transparent in the fact that the location of the tumor is in the brain stem which is a very delicate area for removal.
September 11, 2020, Joshua was taken in for surgery. However, due to bleeding and swelling, they stopped the surgery to let the brain rest. He will be in the ICU until the swelling subsides enough for them to attempt the removal of the tumor.
I’m asking all my Faithful friends to join my family in prayer as we go through this journey. If you don’t know what to pray, feel free to just believe and say this prayer below:
O LORD JESUS CHRIST, who came into this world as a little child, and who, though Very God, was subject to Your earthly parents: Grant that this Your child, Joshua, may bear what has been given him, and readily obey those You have set over him. Look mercifully, we ask You, upon him, and in Your great love grant him relief from his pain. Yea, O Lord, Son of God, grant to send Your holy Angel from heaven, to guard, cherish, protect, visit and defend this Your child, Joshua, sick in his tender age. Stretch forth Your holy right hand upon him, that restored to the vigor of health he may attain to fullness of years, and serve You faithfully and gratefully all his life and become an heir of Your kingdom. For You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, O Christ our God, and to You we send up glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever; and unto ages of ages. Amen.
