Due to unexpected circumstances, I have found myself in the midst of a troubling medical battle that has proved taxing physically, mentally and financially. I am beginning my 2nd week in the care of St. Davids Hospital - where I will continue to stay until released hopefully by the end of this week. A week before I arrived here, my appendix had ruptured. By the grace of God, it encapsulated itself which helped keep most of what would have poisoned my bloodstream contained. The doctors goal then (and still now) was to contain the widespread infection throughout my body before they are able to operate and remove the ruptured appendix which has resulted in high fever, nausea, uncontrollable body movements etc. I am excited that the doctor has cleared me to return slowly to work while on continued antibiotic treatment before I have my surgery, however the medical bills piling up while I'm incapacitated are daunting. While I've always been happy to help others in their time of need, it has been a struggle of mine to ask for help of my own. However, to help alleviate some of the financial strain, we have set up this account and I am so beyond grateful and touched by anything you can contribute in this difficult time. It has not been easy but I'm overwhelmed by all the love and support from my friends and family and so blessed to have you all. Looking forward to getting much better very soon.
