Help Heal Jesus F-Cacho

Recently, one of our most active community members fighting for social, racial, economic, and housing Justice just to name a few has been in a severe car accident and needs our support with medical and survival expenses.

For those of you who are not fortunate enough to already know Jesus and experience how dedicated and generous she is with her time, effort and kindness, I requested her to write a short biography about her life and circumstances. Below is also a list of Community groups non profits that she is either a leading member of or active supporter. Please help heal and support Jesus, who has done the same for so many.

"Hello and welcome to my story,

My name is Jesus, an unusual name for a woman like myself. But I love it and have tried to live a life that lives up to my very special name.

When I was a young child, about 5 or 6 I had a dream to leave my village in Honduras come to America and earn enough money to help the people in my village. I devoted my life from then on to that endeavor. In 1996 I began my journey, over 3,000 miles on foot to the United States of America. Since then, I worked as a waitress, I worked in a Prison and a lot of different jobs. Always with a second job caring for others. I fulfilled my dream of helping my village and my family.

I learned about non profits from friends I met in CA. I have sent at least 25 children through school including college. I was able to aid in the building of the first hospital in my village plus built or renovated no less than 23 libraries in the surrounding villages of my home town Pueblo Nuevo, Honduras.

I have lived my life with drive and ambition to help others and do good in the world. I haven't done it alone. It seems to me that people helping people often gravitate to each other.

Today I reach out as I have fallen on hard times. Some medical conditions and a car accident have left me without the means to support myself at this time in my life.
